6month old's nappies leaking nearly every night - any ideas

My DS2 is in disposable nappies (we've tried tesco's, sainsbury's and pampers) size 3 and nearly every morning his sleeping bag is wet or dirty and occasionally his bedding as well. One night we changed him as we went to bed at about 11.30pm but he was still wet the next morning.

It can't be comfortable for him and I'm sure he would sleep better in the early hours if he wasn't wet, so any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

Lori

DS had this problem at about the same age. We did lots of experimenting with different types of nappy and went up a size (he was on size 3 quite early on but I can't remember exactly when - he inherited my big bottom). Have you tried Huggies? They worked brilliantly for us for a while, you could try a smaller size in a different nappy type maybe? In my baby group we all swapped just one nappy each as we didn't want to buy loads just to find out they weren't any good. Do you have friends you could swap with to make the experimenting a bit cheaper?!

Can you go up a size?

what weight is your lo? Try size 4 nappies. I always went up a size when the leaks started.

I always got this with disposables . I agree you should try going up a size first.

If that doesn't work then you could use a motherease wrap designed for cloth nappies over the top of the disposable OR (far more cheaply) a pair of plastic pants designed to go over terry squares from boots or mothercare.

If I use disposables now (which I sometimes do at night) then I always put a wrap over the top - it works a treat, the plastic pants should work just as well but they aren't quite as nice.

Thanks everyone, I'll give the different ones a go and the idea of the wrap is great!

When my babies nappies start to leak at night i always see that as a sign to go up a size.
