Please save me from the constant WHINGEING!!!!!

DS is 2.9 and, in the last few weeks, he has transformed from an articulate 'pleaser' to a whingeing (ignore spelling!!) brat

I try ignoring, I try confiscating toys...he just whinges more.

I try to reward good behaviour like when he asks for something nicely or accepts an explanation of what we are doing (that is NOT very often...)

I've even tried whingeing back at him

Help?

Ignore ignore ignore. - it takes more time for this to sink in than a few weeks (try months!)

Give him NOTHING as a result of whinging.

Be consistent.

Sadly, it's his age, you are just going to have to ride it out.

And I know that is the last thing you wanted to hear. Sorry.
