Do all babies get the bald patch at the back of their heads?!

My DD certainly did and I assumed they pretty much all did but my new son (5wks) has lovely long curly hair and is showing now signs of it yet...

DS1 didn't, DS2 did, they both have almost identical hair, same thickness, same double crowns, even the same colour! DS2 actually had a bald ring around the back of his head, like a halo that had slipped down

Yeah - my daughter looked like a crazy monk with a slipped bald patch!

yep everytime dd grows some fine hairs she rubs her head on her mattress and they disappear again

My Ds did, but Dd didn't. She has curly hair now, but didn't until she was almost a year. Perhaps finer hair rubs away more easily than thick?
Both my Dc's slept/sleep on their fronts too.

Both mine did and you'd pick them up out of the cot and see the hair left there.

Mine was born with quite a lot of hair which I assumed would fall out. It didn't - and she never got a bald patch - but it did thin at about 4 months before becoming thicker again and blonder.

DS3 is my first to have the bald patch. I can;t even say that its truely from rubbing his head as its in the wrong place

Ds did and and now he's 3 plus that place where it was bald has slightly different coloured hair. Very sweet and always reminds me of when he was really weeney.

My DD didn't but she had loads of hair when she was born, had to get her first haircut at 6mths! Bizarrely it was black at birth then went blond.
