Hi all, my baby is just gone 7 months and i'm not sure if i am feeding her enough...

This is what she has in the day -
6am - 8oz milk and small amount of C&G Baby Cereal (or a fromage frais etc)
10am - 8 oz milk
230ish - half of 190g jar Hipp Organic baby food (or similar amount of steamed veg) and 80z milk, sometimes not finished
7pm - 8oz Good Night milk.

She does wake throughout the night, although i don't feed her then, and she does go back to sleep when i comfort her etc.
The above food timetable is something i'm following from the health visitor, but other people i've spoken to have said their babies were eating a lot more at her age...
Obviously, she isnt starving because she isnt unhappy, but perhaps she could eat more if i tried - what do you all think?

Neither of mine ate much at that age, and dd didn't really start eating until a lot later. You could try - if she's hungry, she'll eat. But honestly at her age I don't think a lot of them have huge appetites.

well to me it looks like lunch is missing?
does she sleep around 1pmish? could you have something then? at that age mine would have 7am - bottle and half a banana
10am - bottle
12pm - pureed fruit or veg
2pm- bottle
5pm pureed fruit or veg if they faniced it and yoghurt
7pm - bottle and bed

but as long as you have wet and dirty nappies and she is sleeping and seems content I wouldn't worry too much

Until they're 1 they don't actually need food in a nutritional sense and its a bit of a myth about them sleeping through because of the amount of food they eat during the day (although you'll always find anecdotal evidence to support it).

What you're offering sound fine although I too would offer something at lunchtime and push the 2.30 meal to teatimeish. I'd be guided by your baby, if they're up for more food at offer it, if not, don't worry as long as they're taking at least 16 oz milk through the day (including milk in youghurts etc).

Oh dear I think I have a foodmachine! Dd 6months has:
5/6/7 morning breast milk
8/9 rusk
10 breast milk
12 equivilant to a whole jar or food
2 breastmilk
4\5 dinner same amount as lunch with yoghurt
6 nightime feed.

Unless It's an unusual night she's been sleeping thro for months

I'd offer finger foods as well? Don't delay lumps/finger foods for too long otherwise she might have issues in transitioning to the lumps.
