Toddler proof side lamps

Our toddler has knocked over or carried and dropped all our side lights at one time or other and they are all broken. Are there toddler proof lamps out there? What do you do to keep them intact?

move em up vv high or dont have them.

Easy, i started putting stuff back in their places when mine was older, when he no longer had an interest in such items.

tis the only way.

bitter experience...my house is a shadow of its former self.

chose your battles carefully, this is not one that you are ever going to win.

Deany is indeed correct. Nothing stops the little buggers darlings. They find lights facsinating. Moving out of reach is the only way.

Oh and you get them out of the way and overnight they grow and you have to move them higher. Again.

I once made the hideous mistake of buying quite expensive touch lamps. they were both broken within a week, the DC thought they were some wonderful magical toy.

IKEA do a night light that is rubber! We call it the Alien and got it after accidents with other ones.

I did the touch lamp thing too - and 2 were broken though he had huge fun with them. They were JL 15 quid each, and we got plenty of use first but still... Fabulous about the Ikea Alien, sounds like the solution to all our woes!
