ds2 is 1month old and has had bad nappy rash since week 2 when his jaundice disappeared overnight.

the HV recommended the usual creams and then the GP prescribed hydrocortisone. after another 5 days this was changed to Nystaform-HC but after using it for 4 days the rash has got worse. as well as the broken areas he now has angry red skin around it.

there is no evidence of oral/anal thrush but NHS24 suggested systemic thrush so am off to buy natural yogarts for me to see if thats any help.

has anyone any experience of Nystaform-HC and whether it can make nappy rash worse before it gets better.

TIA
