Poo exploration hell!

Hi folks - my DS (2.2) has started to explore his dirty nappies if I dont get to him in time to change him. He puts his hands down his nappy and starts to pick the poo out of it. I spent half an hour this morning trying to clean up after such an incident and am at my wits end! Has anyone got any experience/advice of such behaviour? I wondered if it was a potty training readiness sign. Hed sometimes tells me when he needs or has pooed.

it's a sign you need to keep him in bodysuits.
or change him sooner.

I would potty train him. It's way less work than cleaning up poo and far less gross.
