Had to share, have had a lovely weekend. We've not done anything special but have had a few shoot and snap moments.

Yesterday sat on the peir eating icecreams, DS1 and DD giggling, DS2 asleep, sun shining, watching the fishermen and reading the memorial plaques. Today I took my DSs to the beach for my eldest to ride his bike without the stabilisers and withing 5 minutes he was off. Came home with DS1 a fully fledged cyclist and we went up the back so he cold show his Dad, we then cycled to the park and found a tree with loads of conkers and spent ages 'conkering'.

Just so lovely when everyone is happy, the sun is shining etc.

And then by this time tomorrow you will be screaming at them like a harpie because you are fed up to the back teeth of their bickering and the fact that one of your DS has hoovered up the hamster. That's what I love about being a parent - one minute it's a mixture of the Timotei advert and the Cadbury's caramel ad; the next it's a scene from Apocalypse Now.

Saggy, I cherish the moments you describe. Sounds very corny, but it's times like the ones you mention that you realise what life's all about....

I agree, we thought this could be the last really sunny weekend before autumn/winter sets in, so we had fish + chips on the beach, took the dc's to a big adventure playground, (they sped along there on their scooters), + finished with ice creams on the terrace of the playground cafe.

Nobody was bickering, everybody happy, lovely!!
