DD has been using the potty at home for the last 6weeks or so, not a single accident if she's in just a top and bare bottom, or in a dress with nothing on underneath....

However whenever she has knickers she'll never go. she'll sometimes pull them down and sit on the potty for ages with nothing happening, but then about 5/10mins later will wet her knickers.

I haven't been able to leave the house without her in a nappy or pull-up yet... with DS he was FULLY trained by 2/3 weeks after he first started using the potty.

Have only got the 2 DC's at the moment so having 2 completely different experiences- can anyone give any tips or reasoning behind what's going on??

Already she's wet 6 pairs of knickers today and 2 skirts... i'm starting to loose it with her today, she hasn't used the potty once properly today!!! (doesn't help that i'm 11wks pg so got hormones all over the place and feeling sick as anything too!! )

SOMEONE PLEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEE HELP ME SORT THIS ONE!!!!!

maybe she's not ready yet.

i'm certain she must be, she started potty training all on her own, until i tried her in knickers at home we've never had a single accident, and never had to ask/remind her about if she needs a wee...

ds1 was completely potty trained as long as he was naked for about 6 months! Kept trying him with pants but just wet them. I just went back to pull ups as life's too short for that amount of washing, cleaning and asking if he needed the loo.

One day he just said he didn't want nappy on, started a reward chart (with stickers) and he hasn't looked back - including a 15 hour car journey with only 2 loo stops! He went straight onto the loo not a potty and is pretty much dry at night too.

I would just leave your dd naked at home and let her make the decision about when she's ready for the pants out of the house stage. My ds was 3.4 when he got there so she's got a while to go yet!

Good luck and don't stress she won't have pull ups under her wedding dress!

thanks loler... glad she's not the only one then!! I was hoping that she'd be out of nappies in the day by time the next one arrives (any time around her 3rd bday) so i still have about 6.5-7mths to go!!
