Tots Bots size 2 outgrown by six months?

My ds is a big boy. 22 lbs by 6 months and nearly out of 9 to 12 month clothes but I thought tots bots size 2 were supposed to fit up to 35 lbs. They just don't seem to be going over his bottom any more. He is long. Does anyone else have experience of this?

Someone was just commenting on another thread about Tots Bots being low in the rise. That does seem very early to be out of size 2s though. My DD, 12months old and 19lbs, still (just) fits her size 1 Bimbles!
