Farting.
I hat pump or trump or those other silly words. It is a fart.

MadamAnt · 22/09/2008 19:39

fart. Anything else makes me cringe.

Celery · 22/09/2008 19:40

fluffing. It's what my parents' called it when we were children, and I'm afraid I passed the family tradition on.

pump/trump

Hate "fart" - sounds really coarse and a bit common.

Tinker · 22/09/2008 19:42

We used to call it a boff when we were kids. I'm going with farting now but it does feel a bit daring; was considered a bit of a swear word when I was a child.

nickytwotimes · 22/09/2008 19:42

at fluff.
That has some rather horrible conotations, hasn't it?

mankymummy · 22/09/2008 19:42

bottom burps (embarrassed emoticon)... my fault...

derived from the days when i thought i would never give DS sweets, allow him to eat his dinner sitting infront of beebies and a multitude of other sins.

My DS says "Ooops I trod on a frog"!

Courtesy of his father.

blowsy · 22/09/2008 20:08

Fart. Don't mind trump but all those other euphemisms make me cringe.

Heard another mum say 'windy-pops' once .

Goober · 22/09/2008 20:08

I wish they'd say parp as I think it's funny.
Sadly they say fart.

blowsy · 22/09/2008 20:11

Have just noticed there are three active convos on here about farting!

Mercy · 22/09/2008 20:12

I heard an angel whisper

Not in our house. It's farts all the way. Iirc my dad called them poopycats which I think is derived from an Asian language, maybe Urdu.

Hulababy, I'm surprised at your reaction

LazyLinePainterJane · 22/09/2008 20:13

Ds (3) giggles his head off and says really loudly "PARP!"

ivykaty44 · 22/09/2008 20:14

popping off

Mercy · 22/09/2008 20:15

"I stepped on a frog" - I like it!

lou031205 · 22/09/2008 20:15

Me, DH, fart.

DD1 (2.9) Poo bubbles (her own creation)

DD2 (13 months)

IAteDavinaForDinner · 22/09/2008 20:16

Farts, FGS.

I too loathe trumps/pumps etc. Cringey.

wuzzlefraggle · 22/09/2008 20:16

lol either fart or botty cough here

MerryMarigold · 22/09/2008 20:16

"Farties" like parties, followed by lots of giggling

maretta · 22/09/2008 20:17

Fart.

Also find other expressions a bit cringely.
