Farting.
I hat pump or trump or those other silly words. It is a fart.

fart. Anything else makes me cringe.

fluffing. It's what my parents' called it when we were children, and I'm afraid I passed the family tradition on.

Hate "fart" - sounds really coarse and a bit common.

We used to call it a boff when we were kids. I'm going with farting now but it does feel a bit daring; was considered a bit of a swear word when I was a child.

DCs say fart mainly coz I looking after them mose but DSS says trump (he has been indocrinated by DH)

Not in our house. It's farts all the way. Iirc my dad called them poopycats which I think is derived from an Asian language, maybe Urdu.
