I am doing mine for KE312 - Working togethr for children - on the 10th Oct. Will hopefully be my last one for my Hons on my BSc Open IF I pass. Wondering if others would like to join me for a bit of a mutual support thread/kick up the bum when I should be revising!

ECA delivered. Now to finish my oral presentation for Saturday and to hope that my client gives birth before the end of tomorrow so that I have only Friday to learn to speak French!

goodasgold · 24/09/2008 22:24

Hello CaptainStellaMaris!

I had a tutorial on Saturday which showed me that my vocab is fine, but my grammar is rubbish. I need to spend A LOT of time on it.
TMA04 was harder for me than the others, this might be my lack of grammar shining through.
Jux if you do decide to do it, I could post you our assignment booklet if you like?

Good luck with all the exams and the ECA too.

tangarine · 24/09/2008 22:33

Well done Marslady. All the best for Saturday (and your client).

Still wading through my revision and past papers...I've got my specimen exam in and am hoping for quick feedback from my tutor.

Well my client gave birth yesterday afternoon so I'm completely knackered but I've prepared my presentation and only hope I don't yawn through the discussions lol!

Feeling less nervous now. Good luck to the rest of you (now that I can look up from my own revision!)

SummatAnNowt · 26/09/2008 14:03

Good luck everyone!

My exam is on the 7th and last night I had a dream I failed, bleh.

The rest of my courses will have ECA's, I do really badly in exams as a grown up!

schwotz · 26/09/2008 19:56

Good luck to you all
good luck Mars, fingers crossed.

ETsmum · 26/09/2008 21:02

Oops, sorry have been neglecting this thread. Good luck to all, especially MarsLady for tomorrow - let us know how you got on

Boyswillbeboys - thanks for the info on DD308, may consider for the future. Having said that, I have promised dh I will take a break after this course....what I am I going DO with myself?

Sandy4 - did you get your ECA in then? Think you are really brave doing Law - fascinates me but sounds like bloody hard work!

Jux - did the short intro to the human genome course - think your course might be similar? Found it great.

Right, off to relax for a bit before a day of study tomorrow. Dh and I have a night away on Sun as it is our 10yr wedding anniversary later in the week. I said we could go as long as I could bring some revision

Done it!

It went quite well. I mis-read the instructions for my preparatory work so wasn't as fully prepared as I could have been. We were given details of 4 gites and had to prepare a 2 minute presentation and get involved in an 8 minute group discussion. We had to chose the gite most suited to the casestudy we were given. I hadn't realised that the tutor would pick a gite for each of us to discuss. I'd done most of my prep on the gite I would have chosen. However I'd done just enough on the one I was given and was able to fully account for myself in the group discussion and agree on the most appropriate gite for the case study.

So... all done. Now the wait until December for the results. My Advanced Creative Writing course (OU) starts on the 4th Oct so now I'm ready to study again!

So to the rest of you Bonne chance!

I'm just glad it's over!

tangarine · 27/09/2008 13:34

Well done MarsLady, I can't wait for mine to be over.

Summat I'm swinging between feeling reasonably confident that I know my stuff, and complete blind panic that I don't actually know anything . I spent most of yesterday in my local library with my head in a book. Taking the weekend off to spend some time with with ds2.

ETsMum, have a nice night away tomorrow. It's our 12th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Dh is working abroad just now, but has sent a card (which is more than I have done for him) .

sandy4 · 28/09/2008 10:58

ETsmum - yes, ECA done & dusted, cut it very fine emailing it 1/2 hour before cutoff time!!! Good luck for your exam - 10th oct is it?

OH & GET BACK TO THE REVISION !!

tangarine · 03/10/2008 09:47

Well done sandy4.

How's everyone else's revision going?

I'm in the library, putting off having a go at past papers.

SummatAnNowt · 07/10/2008 11:17

My exam is this afternoon, eeeek!

Feel decently prepared, will see.

Feel sick!

ChopsTheDuck · 07/10/2008 11:18

good luck!

Mine is tomorrow, eeeekkk! w300 (law).

ETsmum · 07/10/2008 15:50

Hi all Have been reading, but just trying not to post - another study avoidance technique!

Good luck especially to SummatAnNowt and ChopsTheDuck.

Revision going too slowly, and have to work tomorrow am and all day Thurs before exam on Fri. Great.

Sandy4 - thanks for the kick to get back to revising - read it when I got back from our night away and it inspred me Well done with getting the ECA in on time.

Tangarine, sorry your dh was away for your anniversary, hope you had an ok day all the same. We had a lovely night - on a tiny island called Herm, lovely meal and lots of rose. Sadly all my good intentions of revision didn't materialise!

Right back to the books, off bell ringing this eve

Hope all your exams go/went well - mine was yesterday. It wasn't as awful as I had feared .

Just waiting for the books to arrive for my next one now.

SummatAnNowt · 08/10/2008 05:49

Good luck today Chops!

Mine wasn't too bad, sure I've passed at least!

Sooo glad it's all over and I've got free time again. Although, as usual, I'll probably end up missing it and be desperate for Feb to arrive for the next one... and let's not forget the excitement of that big package of pristine text books... happy sigh

ChopsTheDuck · 09/10/2008 13:23

thanks for the good luck wishes. Wasn't too bad, pretty sure I will have passes though maybe not hte pass2 I would have liked. I'm also loving having free time again! Had few glasses of rose last night and spent this morning doing Absolutely Nothing!

Good luck to those still revising.

orangehead · 10/10/2008 13:58
