Norwegians (or Swedes or Danes) in Edinburgh?

Hei! I am the mother of a boy of 19 months and we live in Edinburgh. Would be lovely to meet other Scandinavians with children of similar age so that they can practice their Norwegian/Swedish/Danish together. I only speak Norwegian to my son, who goes to nursery some days a week. So he is often surrounded by English (or rather Scottish!) speaking people, and I really want him to grow up bilingual.

We love playgrounds and Clambers and Gorgie farm. We have a car, so we can travel (but he hates being strapped into the car seat so we prefer to walk!). I can also have people over to mine as we have a big garden with playhouse with slide and swings. We live near the Meadows.

It would be great to meet up, either every week or whenever we/you have time.

Sorry, at the wrong end of the country from you.

Have you tried speaking to people at the university language dept?
They might have social activities aimed at speakers of Scandinavian languages.
I have a half-Norwegian friend with likewise partner but her kids are quite a lot older and she lives some way outside Edinburgh.
