The Horrors of potty training!

I'm currently trying to potty train my DD but have just spent the past week on wee alert.
At one point, she's managed to do one whilst I was busy making her lunch and I couldn't find it for hours.

Am I the only one who's finding this process a nightmare as I'm gradually coming to the end of my tether?

Also, any suggestions for making this easier on me and her?

How old is she?

If she isn't ready just wait.

We potty trained all 3 of ours in less than 2 weeks with a maximum of 6-8 accidents with each.

DTD1 was 2.8
DTD2 was 2.9
DD3 was 2.3

The key hthing was that they were all ready when we did it.

The other tip is to keep her bottom naked until she has got hte hang of it like that (1 week-ish)
The just put knickers on until she get teh hang of it (1 week-ish).

Then do fully clothed.

My ds started about a week ago.. I feel your pain.

Over the last few days he has suddenly gained so much confidence with it and will go on his own however have had lots of accidents today where he has been too busy. If you feel he is she is ready then keep going at it someone said to me give it atleast 1-2weeks otherwise u havnt given them a fighting chance.

Have you got any friends going through the same thing? 4 days into I was at the end of my tether ready to go stock up on the pampers went to see a lovely friend and her dd also potty training and have been human about it ever since. Interestingly enough since I have relaxed he has gotten much better at it.

Oh and we gave ds pants right from the start he picked every time he put them on always pulls them down and up just made it a bit more exciting

It's a switch. If they're not ready, it won't work. When they're ready, it's a doddle. I'd suggest you go back to nappies for another couple of months and then try again. It will drive you up the wall otherwise.
