Advice please!

My DD1 (age nearly 7 in Yr 2), who is usually very healthy non complainer, was ill this morning but got her dressed walked her to school where we had tears looked very pale, said has sore throat and chest, so brought her home again! (her first missed day of school so far)
After half hour on the sette, a hot chocolate, and a spoon of calpol, she seems to be fully recovered and has driven me mad today being cooped up in house with her and DD2 age 8 months!
It is school BBQ this evening and friends mum has offered to take her, she is desperate to go now she feels better, I think though if she has missed school (and swimming lesson) she really shouldn't go...?? Don't want to punish her for being ill nor reward her IYSWIM??
So what thinks the MN jury BBQ or not???

not. Ill off school means no fun in evening!

I had this problem last year. ds needed the day off as his asthma was very bad, they had a christmas sale thing in the evening which he wanted to go to and I was to tae his friend aswell. He said he didn't feel too bad and had stopped wheezing so I checked with the school, they said it was OK but I still felt awkward. We had to leave early as he became unwell though

I shouldn't have taken him but I had to take his friend anyway as his mum was meeting us there. I would say no. They will be having other events at school she can go to.
