What cup would be good for a one year old (for water)?

DD is breastfed, and has water out of a doidy cup at other times. But obviously I have to hold the doidy cup for her. I was wondering if it would be a good idea for her to have a cup with a spout so that she can help herself to water when she feels like it, without covering herself in water. Or at one year is she not old enough to do this? I offer the doidy cup frequently but recently she's begun trying to splash water everywhere and sees it as a big game (getting mum wet - what fun).

Which cup would you recommend? It would be for water only.

Thanks

We used tommy tippee cups just a basic beaker with a spout, and as they get slightly older 15-18 months unscrew the top and use as normal beaker just with a little bit of water in

mothercare do a great cup, which is like a doidy, but with a lid with spout on, it comes with two other types of 'rim' too which train the independent drinking. they are a solid lid wit a little slit in, then an ope rim with an exaggerated lip on. it is angled just like the doidy.

have also used the very basic tommy tippee beakers, and the avent easy flow, which she loves, spill proof too.

tommee tippee one. its not spill-proof but easy for them to get water out of and to hold onto.

tommee tippee first cup with the flip up spout - you can use it with or without the lid and it is free-flowing so it is easy to use.
