DS (age 3) does not use TH but F at the beginning of all words. Is this normal?

He speaks very well but thanks is fanks, think is fink, bath is barf etc. i've tried showing him how to make th sound but he just laughs at me!!!

Mine sound like they hale from deepest Somersetshire, where this has come from I don't know; I'm a posh bint and dh a hardy northerner

DD couldn't say 'th' and also had a distinct Jonathan Ross problem with her 'r's. She's nearly five now and doesn't have the problem any more although she's now developed a slight stammer when she gets excited).

Bizarrely my 2 year-old sounds often sounds like a Kiwi (yeee-ehhh, Mulk for milk etc.). Presumably she'll grow out of that as well!

The th sound doesn't some until they are about 5 according to DS's speech therapist. It think the f sound is just more pronounced in some children.

Hairytoe DS1 used to say Mulk, he has grown out of that
