Kids watching horror films

My DH's son came to stay yesterday and he told us that his mum lets him watch nightmare on elm street 4. Should we say anything? DH isn't happy.

That's absolutely appalling. I remember being exposed to horror films when I was little (it was under the age of 5 for sure) and I still remember the content of some of them. Horrific.
