Work Experience and 'gcse options'

What year do teens go on work experience? does anyone know?

Also, are 'options' dependant on SATs results? My sister has got level 4's and 5's in all her SATs but has chosen travel and tourism and graphic design as her options. Now we've been told that as she didn't do well on her sats she's unlikely to get the options she wants as higher sats results get priority on places??

At our school wk exp is in the summer term of yr10.

And options are not dependent on anything although staff will give advice and encourage or dissuade if they feel that a wise choice has not been made.

dd1 did hers in yr 11

options are not dependent on sats, but if the school think the pupil may struggle to cope with a certain subject then they would probably advise to do something else
