Christmas baby - any tips?

I'm 20w pregnant and my baby's due on Christmas day. Really hope it's not actually Christmas day! The two most exciting things in the world when I was little were Xmas and my birthday - can't imagine not having one of them!!

Does anyone here have a birthday at that time of year? Did you really hate it or was it OK?

Does anyone here have kids with birthdays at Christmas? Do you have any tips?

Thanks

oh yes, on Christmas day/Birthday, especially when dd was younger (2 or 3) I would take a few pressies away (after dd had opened them, because ripping the paper off is of course the best bit ) and stash them away to bring out on rainy days in Jan /Feb.

Thanks everyone! Some great advice here.

And I solomnly swear never to give a joint Xmas / birthday present

My ds was born on Xmas Day 2004.

I am open to change as he gets older, but atm we do a birthday 'tea' with cake etc on Xmas Day, but he opens his birthday presents on New Year's Day.

He has had a party in early January.

Did toy with the idea of a June 'half birthday' but dd's birthday is in June and I also felt that June was too far removed from his actual birthday to be special.
