DS2 suddenly started bedwetting after being dry at night for 9 months

We really struggled with Ds2's toilet training. He was dry in the day by his 3rd birthday, but soiled regularly until after he was 4 and still does occasionally, although (fingers crossed) this appears to have resolved now.

Because of the daytime issues, I just left his nighttime nappy on until he said he wanted it off at c. 4.6 and since then, until this week, he had had only 2 wet beds. He is now 5.3

Has had a wet bed for the last 3 nights. Ds1 (7) had a wet bed too last night and he has been dry at night, apart from very rare occasions since he was 3. What's going on? I can't think of any trauma or anything, other than being out of usual school routine and being excited about going on hols next week.
