Room lighting - any recommendations for newborn

With nightime feeding/ changing etc I am finding the room lights are too much. Waking him up too much.

Does anyone have any recommendations in options that have worked for them? Mains powered or portable.

I am trying to find lights that are dimable, easy to turn on in the dark, maybe with different levels. Or perhaps I should look for a fun one to keep ds captivated?

Dimmer switch for main light.

Or John Lewis do a nightlight that slowly dims off again.

15 watt or 20 watt lamp in a standard bed side lamp. gave enough light to see what I was doing but not so much it woke DH or boy too much.
Cheap, simple and didn't need any "new" kit. still have it as my bedside light now 2.5 years later.
If you don;t find them at supermarket try a lighting specialist, not that uncommon tho.

I did try an 8w lamp but that wasn;t enough light to change a nappy by.
