Travel cot help needed!

We have a mothercare travel cot which I desparately need to assemble. The first time we used it it was fine - now none of the sides will lock straight! Has anyone got any tips on how to get the damn thing to work?!

don't push the thing down on the base in the middle of the cot until the very end! thats exactly what we did and took it back to the shop saying it was broken...v embarrassing

Sometimes ours will go up and down happily and sometimes it gets stuck. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to it. If it does not work, i just leave it for a couple of hours and come back to it later. Always works the next time you try.
Think there is a gremlin in each travel cot that goes away if you ignore it but works harder at frustrating you if you try + fight it!
