Help needed re. Phil & Ted's Vibe (sport users may be able ot help too??)

It's about the second seat that clicks on....

Now - the seat reclines back a bit just under the outer metal frame - I presume this is the same in the sport?

I have a 19 mo, who is of average height etc but she is too tall to be in the seat in it's reclined position because her head can't pass under the metal frame. Is this right or are we missing something .

I think you are right, I can't put my eldest in the back of the Sport with the seat reclined because of the bar.

I have a sport. Dd2 is 17 months, but tiny (only 17lb!) so she can still fit under. If she was a more normal size, I doubt she'd fit by now.

Does the heaviest DC go in the main or 2nd seat??

We've got a sport. The heaviest dc is supposed to go in the front/top seat for safety reasons, (i think there is a danger of it tipping over if heavy dc goes in back/lower seat).

Ds1 is currently in the second seat as it attached in the front position as ds2 is still in lying down position. Ds1 can't recline as we have the same problem as you. However ds2 will soon be sitting up and therefore in the second seat attached in the back position and ds1 will be in the normal seat. He will just have to wait if he wants to recline.

And he sleeps fine in the non-reclined seat.

Ahh it isn't always practical to have the heavier weight in the front though. I put DS1 in the back sometimes now as he is more likely to walk most of the time, and the weight of DS2 (1yo) in the back without DS1 being in the front seat tips the buggy back.

...Saying that I usually have the pannier bag on full of washable nappies which seems to do the job of counterbalancing the weight in the back

I think the seats of the P&T are fairly 'laid back' in design compared to some other buggies, so as my DS' get bigger I'm not too worried about reclining them

DontlookatmeImshy; with the Sport in the doubles set up you will probably find you can't really recline the front seat as it presses on the head/face of the child behind.

I did wonder about that Washersaurus. Haven't tried it yet. Fortunately i think/(hope) he can manage without reclining.

Mine are quite big now (1 and 3) so the reclined front seat touches the one sat upright in the back now, but isn't really a problem.

I think with the smallest child reclined in the back you can actually recline the front seat a little... I can't really remember if we did or not.
