Hello! I'm an Iranian mum married to an English guy and really wants my 11month old ds to grow up speaking Farsi. I talk to him in Farsi as much as I can, but he spends a great deal of time with my mil and dh as I work full time. Anyone know of where I can get hold of Farsi baby books or nursary rhyme tapes (I don't know any Farsi songs!) Would love to meet other new mum's who are Iranian/partners of Iranians who are trying to raise a bilingual child.

Try the Iranian shops in Temple Fortune - not sure of the street name but it's the one with jojomamanbebe on it. Can't you get some relatives to send over some books? Oh - get a dish that can receive the Iranian chanels from the US, I am sure there are kids programmes on there.
