Felt like a proper mum today. :-)

My daughter is 5 next week and today we have been out on her bike with the stabilisers off. She did so well and rode quite a long way on her own. She got her self going and even turned half a circle safely. I am so proud of her and really enjoyed doing it with her.

Oh well done Dd and well done you.

My grandad taught me how to ride my bike - I will always remember it - so will your DD - what a great memory for her.
Well done!

It is so poignant as no one ever taught me to ride as I didn't have family. Made me feel good.

DD went out to show Daddy how she can ride and she is so good now she is allowed on the pavement and not just the grass! SOOOOOOOOO proud of her.

well done both of you. You are a proper mum everyday

onlyjoking9329 · 27/07/2008 20:36

always remember you are the mum you are inspite of your birth family, being a self taught mum isn't so bad.

PhDlifeNeedsaNewLife · 27/07/2008 20:37

oh how lovely itati!

I had a 'feel like a real mum' moment yesterday, know just what you mean

DancingMamaWithBabes · 27/07/2008 20:38

Can I borrow you? You might have better success with my son (trying very hard to be patient and remember I was about 6.5 before I even liked bikes, so ds1 being 5 and weird about bikes is not too far behind.)

itati · 27/07/2008 20:50

It was all her.

I was sure she was nowhere near being ready but she proved me wrong!

then can I borrow her for peer pressure?

well done
