carseats for 2 DC's

Just want to know how other mums seat their LO's in the car. Im interested to know which cars you have and what type of car seats you use in order to seat an infant carrier and a Forward facing Group 1 car seat comfortably next to each other and still enable an adult to sit in the back too. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Subaru Legacy estate with Jane Matrix seat for ds2 (wouldn't recommend that one - not very good safety rating) and Britax Duoplus Isofix seat for ds1. You could fit an adult in the middle between them, but they'd have to be reasonably slim!

Also have ancient Ford Puma, but ds2 has to go on the front seat in that (no airbag).

I also did a seat at each side with a litle bit of room for an adult in the middle. I had a maxi cosi priori xp and a mamas and papas infant carrier - I have a toyota corrolla verso (can be a 7 seater using the seats in the boot)
