Hey All

This is probably a silly question and probably nothing to worry about but i just need to ask. My daughter is 9 months old and she still has no teeth, all other babies i know are usually on their 3rd or 4th by now...should i worry or am i being silly??

Thanks

"should i worry"

NO.

flirtygerty · 18/07/2008 11:22

mine only had 2 by the age of 1, and now 2 still has about 4 to come. i wouldn't worry about it to much - its not as if there is anyhtign you can do to speed things up !!

I knew someone whose two year old only had 4 teeth.

crokky · 18/07/2008 11:54

My DS got his first tooth at 10 months. It's no problem.

tinkisagracefulshamu · 18/07/2008 15:44

my dd dint get any till 9 months her friend didnt get any till 13 months. kids all different

julesrose · 18/07/2008 15:50

My dd got her first tooth on her first birthday. They are all there now and very lovely though she's very keen for them to start wobbling....

wearymum200 · 18/07/2008 15:55

I had no teeth till I was 2 1/2. DS got his 1st at 11/12, niece was 14/12. Conclusion: late teething family. Don't worry, dentists apparently not concerned until 2 yrs or so.

kittywise · 18/07/2008 15:57

My 15 month old only has 2 and 1/2 teeth! My eldest was over three before he got all of his. I certainly wouldn't worry, they are all different, think of your baby as being unique!

kittywise · 18/07/2008 15:58

Forgot to add my 15 month old was 13 months before the first tooth came!

eandh · 18/07/2008 16:00

No nothing to worry about friends dd didnt get any teeth till 13 months and then got loads all together!

bigspender30 · 18/07/2008 18:13

my ds didn't have any teeth til he was 1. The slower the teeth come in the stronger they are apparently.

AuntyJ · 18/07/2008 18:26

Dont worry dd was nealy 10mths - then the just kept popping up week after week. Like buses really!

morethanyoubargainfor · 18/07/2008 18:27

My ds was near to his second birthday when he cut his first tooth. Don't worry all children are different.

baba2 · 19/01/2009 00:54

My daughter didn't get her first tooth until she was 2 years and 2 months old. She is now 6 and a half and has all her milk teeth. She is more concerned that they are not falling out yet like her friends' teeth. The dentist says she will be late losing them. My son is a year old this week and still has no teeth. Looks like he will take after his big sister and his dad who was a late teether.

katiek123 · 19/01/2009 09:38

baba - mine is 7 and a half and her front teeth are worn away to two teeny, laughable little stumps - and there is still no sign of them falling out!! at least she's lost two bottom ones (a few months ago). she was prem, so i presume there is a link.

IAmTheNewQueenOfMN · 19/01/2009 09:41

dd1 got her first tooth at 13 months

was told she may be later than average losin them

well er yes, she has just lost her two bottom front ones, her first two teeth to be lost, she is nine in march

katiek123 · 20/01/2009 14:54

thanks for that queen - fascinating!! will see if we can beat that record on the top teeth front at our end
