DS 10 days old - soaking wet every 3 hours - which nappies

Just wondering if this is normal just coz he has a willie as I don't remember DD getting soaked like this. Have I just got his nappy on wrong? (using disposables) Is there a perfect nappy that'll stop leaks? I'm getting cheesed off having to do a full clothing and bedding change every 3 hours!

Any comments appreciated!

I have 3 boys and never had a problem with the usual types: Pampers, Supermarket own, Boots. Used to find Huggies a bit less reliable.

Don't mind changing a nappy every 3 hours but would prefer to avoid changing his clothes AND bedding at the same time. Especially at 4 in the morning

pagan, definitely check his penis position. Must be pointing due south. Any deviation either side or god forbid, pointing up and you get the waterfall effect.

awwwww - poor little thing! im using pampers which hadno probs. when baba was first born, someone bought me nappies from boots (boots make in a dark purple wrapping) and they were good too, but i decided to buy pampers as you can buy it in bulks.

Agree with Yorkiegirl, My ds1 used to leak until the HV told me to point his willie down.

I've got fleecy liners from a previous attempt at cloth nappies so might give it a go if the willie pointing fails
