Hi all , dont know if you remember my story but my xp has asked me if i could have ds full time . I am so so over the moon i am in tears. I have waited for 4 years, and didnt know if it would ever happen. I dont know what to do with myself. He said it will take 5-6 months as gradually increase contact time. Must be a really difficult decision for xp tho.

I cant quite believe this is all real.. I am so so so happy.. ds coming over tomorrow too cos he cant wait till his birthday - next week

Hi don't remember your story, but that's good news for you I take it xp will still be having access tho? sorry but as I don't know your story it seems a really odd thing to hear, xp's are usually battling the other way!

Oh, Awen, that is such wonderful news!

xp will deffinately have access, ds has 2 parents who love him very much and i dont want him losing out.

JanH - I am so so so so happy - I want to let Bunglie know but i have spoken to her for a while, is she ok?

Luckily xp, xp's girlfriend, me and dp seem to be able to get on ok, which is good.

Obviously kinda frightened he will change mind but seems very sincere and genuine.

If there is a god I am thanking you now. I have cried myself to sleep so so many times thinking i would never hold my child again, and then i have access. I though i had lost out on being a proper mum through PND and am completely overwhelmed by the emotion of being a 'proper' mum again. I know i was always his mummy but I miss the school runs everyday, making tea for him, holding him when he crys, laughing with him all the everyday things.. and of course i even miss the mischief!

I know Bunglie would love to hear about this, Awen, but she hasn't been here for a week and I only have her email address, not a phone number - she has had a few spells in hospital recently, I hope she isn't having another but I think she might be.

I will email her with your news anyway!

Janh - onyl just managed to get online.. been a busy day - filled with school runs, uni for me and kids partys.. i dont know if you read another thread were ds wasnt invited to party. Well he was invited tonigh.. last minute and all but her reason was cos i had him and not childminder or dad.

It went really well and she was nearly abandoned by all to do party by herself but me and other mum stayed and helped which was really really good.

DS now tucked up in my bed, he wouldnt go in own bed and tbh with all that has been going on i dont blame him and am looking forward to haveigna little hot water bottle in the bed.. although this hotwater bottle does try and steal the whole bed!

I feel like i am going to be a mummy all over again!! It is fantastic.!!!!!
