I feel dreadful - we missed DS2's parents' evening!

I raced home from work tonight, rushed in, bathed DS3 in about five minutes flat, grabbed DS2 and we raced off in the rain to school. His appointment was 6.30 p.m......yesterday .

I felt so stupid. And DS2 was very upset.

In our defence, DS1 and DS3 both had theirs last week, but even so....

just the sort of thing i'd do too

will the school make another appointment to see you, if you want to make it up? Ours would, afaik.

WendyWeber · 09/07/2008 23:19

Oh no don't feel bad, SSB, you aren't the first & you certainly won't be the last. I bet the school will be happy to make another appointment for you (hope so anyway)

Poor DS2, have you been able to atone?

SixSpot... do what I do. Ask the teacher which evening is good for you to pop in and talk about DS2. Beats waiting for the parents in front whose precious child needs more than the allocated 15 mins.

DS2 has cheered up now, helped by the fact that I went to his sharing assembly this morning .

I can have a chat with the teacher next Thursday if we want to. He didn't look very impressed though...

Ah, but think how much more impressed he'll be with DS2 now given the Family Background he has had to contend with.

The Inferiorettes' educational reputation rockets every time I enter school premises.
