Tried to think of a title to get you to read this......and it's worked!

Just wanted to tell you about my funny experience with dd1 (5 1/2) today.
I was ironing first thing this morning and she came into the bedroom and climbed into bed with dh.
She has been very curious recently about her bits and pieces and how she was made. We have tried to be as honest as we can with her and try and tell her as much as we feel appropriate for a child of her age - but it's never enough - she always wants to know more. We have told her that she began with special hugs between mummy and daddy.
This morning she asked me how mummy and daddy had special hugs. I told her that I would get another book out of the library and sit down with her one evening to explain. Thought I had got away with that one when she asks.......

"Mummy, I want to know how you do those special hugs. Can you and daddy do one now and show me please!"

I just told her that they were private things with mummy and daddy.

OMG!!!!!!

lol ! Sometimes giving kids cryptic answers about these things just makes them ask more questions !

LOL!! Oh God...I've had the 'how did I get out of your tummy' question, thank god, not the 'how did I get in there' one!

My ds (5) is fascinated with making babies and child birth. Used to watch the discovery health programmes when he was small so at age 3 would count : 1 2 3 4 PUSH!!!
Anyway, in the bath last night - after he'd had a good look at his sister's bits and commented that she didn't have a "wee man" yet he said " When you're big you'll have a baby in your tummy - and I'm going to give you it"!!! Think I've got some re-education to do....

DS1 (12) did biology at school where they learnt what goes on inside the body when you have sex. Along with many of his classmates he has decided never to have sex as it is clearly disgusting. We'll see what he says in a couple of years.

Ds (7) has everything else bar the 'how does it get in' bit worked out. So far, I've been really open with them (even explaining what "bullocks" means - he picked it up wrongly, bless him) - but I'm kind of dreading giving the final piece of the jigsaw.

Copout Alexsmum!

My DS (3.11) said to me the other day : "mummy I want to see where DD came out of" - while I was slightly lost for words he continued "lift your top up".

My dd is disgusted that babies come out of bottoms (her words not mine) and she is never ever having a baby! She also shouted out in John Lewis toilets the other day "mummy you've got blood on your knickers"
