DD 28 months stopped being potty trained

hi

my DD has been using the potty for ages before bed and finally started wearing knickers a few months ago. It didn't take long and she wasn't phased by going on the toilet or whatever.

However we went on holiday a couple of weeks ago and she ended up 1. wearing a nappy on long journeys ie to get there (My DH idea) and 2 Having bad stomach upset and bad diarrhea.

Since we're back from holiday she has started refusing to sit on the potty and to some extent the toilet, throwing complete tantrums if you put her near it. Then she is having accidents all over the place and carry on playing whilst standing in a pool of wee, just now she said she wanted to wear nappies all day...
what should I do? Persevere with knickers or give her a few days break? I realise I am not the only one posting on this topic..
My Dh and I are quite stressed out at the moment and I don't know if that's the problem as well

All suggestions gratefully received
