How many nights would you let your 4-year-old go to stay at their grandparents' for, without you?

The way they've behaved this weekend?

When they were brought back home they'd be able to vote!!!!!

I would let mine go for 3 nights. Not because Grandparents would find it too much( they would be very tired though)Or that children would miss me.
Just that I would really really miss them.

Yup. It's been grim.

My 7 year old and 4 year old are going for 3-4 nights this summer.

I'm really looking forward to it

I do miss them when they're not here though, it just feels so without them even if they have been driving me up the wall the day before.

Actually, the worst bit is going up to bed and automatically going in to check on them and finding empty beds... I'm a bit of a sap really...

My IL's offered to take dd (4.0) on holiday with them later this month but we said no. 7 nights is too long for a first trip away, also they are going to IoW which although hardly overseas still involves a long drive and a ferry crossing if she is totally miserable and wants to come home.

What we have said is that they can have her for the weekend a few times between now and next summer and she can go with them for a week next year.

She will be staying with my Mum in August but only for a couple of nights.

In all honesty though I think I will have more of a problem with it than she will [wuss]
