whats the deal if you want your CM to use your cloth nappies? Do you buy a bucket to keep at their house and then take it away with you when you collect the DC? A wet bag? What? Will obviously wash them myself and take her a clean stash, wouldn't expect her to wash them.

I could tell you what our nursery do.

They bag their nappies exactly as if they were disposable (in relatively eco friendly little bags) then, instead of chucking them out, they pop them in a washable draw string bag I got. I sort them when I get home.......

TMI but I find poo comes off better when its had a few hours to dry out......

Also bag gets a wash too if it gets a little smelly.

Initially i bought a waterproof lined drawstring bag but it was so large it was impractical. Now I use large tie top freezer bags. You can fit about three used nappies in one and then just tie the top. And I rinse out the freezer bag and it gets reused (for nappies, not for food!). It means everything fits neatly back into the nappy bag, which a bucket wouldn't.

I've had 2 cm and a nursery (for my 3 dc) and all have been given a waterproof bag to put dirty nappies in. Put flushable liners in them so they don't have to deal with poo.

Always found cm v. excited to use washables and show them off to other cm's!!

i have the tots bots pul bag too, i think i'll give her that. when we go out its a bit big so my MIL made some smaller ones from some waterproof material she had, they hold 2-3 nappies. the tots one would be good for a whole day though. i chuck the whole bag in the wash after loosening draw string, no sorting out!

thanks for your replies
