Daughter troubles

My daughter is 12. Last year her dad left us having had an affair and buying a house with the woman after only 14 weeks. We are supposed to have 50/50 parenting but it’s not working out as he is ‘to busy’

my daughter, when home doesn’t spend time with me, is sarcastic, never hugs me and seems to hate me. However, she will hug her dad at every opportunity and has fun with him. The girlfriend has even taught her to put on make up ( my job and no discussion with me, which hurt dreadfully)

we have fun sometimes. In half term I shall take her to London etc but she seriously acts like she hates me. My mental health isnt great as it is with everything that has happened but with this on top, i am starting to crack!

help me mums!

Your her safe person she can let her moods out around you and know that you will still be there. Her dad she needs to keep on side because she can’t trust that he won’t leave. Try to cut her some slack, plan fun things to do and know that in the long term you are the ne she’s gonna rely on.

Exactly what @ithinkthereforeyouarewrong said.
Stick with each other, you will have the best relationship when she is older.

Absolutely and just to say I was in a similar situation so I speak from experience
