Eldest is in reception just started this September. Youngest in pre school private nursery

Im sure so many mums feel this way at the minute

Im really struggling the balance of it all. Weekdays feel like i barely see DS and then when I am during weekdays its get ready chaos then come home chaos. He really let's it out when hes home major release from school

I feel a bit sad. Im still part time to look after youngest but on our days I do miss my eldest. We were a little trio on my part time days off work snd I miss it. I cant wait for half term

I just feel like a failure and trying to juggle all the new school stuff hes just started and so much is going on already!

How can I be the best I can be for him during this time? He is enjoying school but lots of let down when hes home. Really releasing his emotions as he masks a bit there

We used to bring a packed tea to school and go straight to the park. He'd eat on the way there and while playing and it meant he had an hour to charge around and burn off the frustration of the day before coming home and then we could do stories and calmer things. Food in hand by the time he was walking out the school gate was essential though.
I know what you mean about missing them - I've got two years between mine and we both missed my eldest when he started reception. He's year 1 and the youngest is in morning nursery and I can't wait until half term.
