12 week old very quiet

My boy is 12 weeks old and is a happy, smiley boy. He engages socially with his eyes and smiles. He gets excited when I talk to him as he kicks out and his eyes light up. I have no issues with his hearing as he reacts accordingly. My only concern is how quiet he is. He hasn’t ever really cooed. I say that, he makes the odd noise here and there but nothing at all back and forth. I can spend an hour talking to him and he will just smile. It’s like his mouth moves but the noise won’t come out. Anyone else experienced this? He does t make noise for attention either. He will people watch until he’s fed up and then start getting fidgety and moaning. I’m worried it’s the start of a communication problem

Does he cry?

Does he cry?

Yeah absolutely, not excessively. He is chill but will let me know if he is hungry. Or he cries if his dad is holding him and not me.

I shouldn't worry, keep talking to him and he will soon be chattering away.

They are all different also, DD1 was always noisy and made lots of little grunts and babbling sounds after a few months and had several words by 12 months. DD2 took longer to talk but did physical things earlier and quicker.
