My son was born at 36+5. He's been on kendamil and was absolutely fine on it until about 2 weeks ago (he's 6 weeks and 3 days). He started struggling to poop and when he did it was a dark green paste and he seemed really upset when doing a poop. He then started throwing up a bit more - not his whole bottle but enough to worry me so I went to the GP today and he said he likely has a cows milk intolerance and prescribed aptamil pepti 1.
im just questioning whether they've jumped the gun and maybe the poop struggles could be due to something else?
he got weight yesterday and is putting weight on fine and otherwise seemed really happy except from when he was trying to poop.
he's also been on the new aptamil pepti 1 since this morning and has been so unsettled and seems to be hungrier

any comments or advice appreciated!

thank you! 😊

I'm afraid I have no useful advice other than my breastfed baby had a period of two weeks with vile green poo that wasn't normal for them. I was worried about it but couldn't get a doctor's appointment for three weeks and it mysteriously resolved before that. I never got to the bottom of it. I hope it resolves for you too.
