What is wrong with my ex?

Seriously! My ex husband always says that his son is his world and would do anything for him.
I had mediation today, since today, he has none stop been texting me saying I am not going to keep his son from him. I set up a co parenting app, asked him to going via a link, then he doesn’t even respond and tells me that his dog has liver damage and it’s because of my dad! As he is claiming my dad hit her. But my dad hasn’t been anywhere near his dog.
then he says “I wish I never met you”
I then put a request on the app that he can see his son on Sunday. As he has done since we split up early September.
now he says he can’t because he is working. (Hgv driver)
I am starting to think he doesn’t really want to see his son.
A few weeks ago, he said he couldn’t see his son as it hurt too much. Then changed his mind an hour later.

just FYI, it’s not his biological son as we used sperm donor. But he has been there through all the IVF and miscarriages, he always says “his son comes first” but I never seeing this. He is a legal guardian on our son’s birth certificate.

do you actually think he will be involved?

Sadly I assume he will use the fact as isn't his biological dc to walk away.

Luckily the law will enforce he pays cms. Make sure you do so.

Is it his choice to only see him once a week?
it’s not sounding likely that he still stick around

Standard behaviour. Most men, in my experience, talk the talk about wanting to be a dad but in reality they don’t.

To be honest I’ve seen more damage and hurt caused to children by very unreliable dads who frequently promise and don’t deliver than by those who are just completely out of the picture. Hope you and your son are able to develop a happy life, with or without him in it.

Well a few weeks ago I said to him he could have our son from 12-5 all afternoon, he said that’ll be great but then changed his mind said he could only have for 3 hours as he is busy. He has variable work times due to traffic. But sometimes he finishes at 1 I said to him if that ever happens let me know and we can meet so he can hang out with our son he said great idea but I am yet to get a text.
