Lactose free side effects on 12 week old

Morning,

my LB has been on lactose free milk for a week now (he’s 12 weeks) since that time time he has become constipated, extra windy, has started spitting up, he also can’t go more than 3 hours during the day without feeding and he’s having 5ozs…… he didn’t do none of this before hand.
was advised to do this as was told he might has delayed milk intolerance due to some symptoms.

I think him being on this milk had made him worse and caused new problems.

anyone else had this issue?
he was on aptamil comfort before hand.

My toddler has CMPA. The lactose is the sugar in the milk, whereas most allergies are to the dairy protein. It's extremely.rare for a baby to be lactose intolerant, as breastmilk also has natural lactose in it, so a baby would literally die if they were lactose intolerant. Lactose intolerance is something that usually develops much later in life. Whereas allergy to the dairy protein in babies is quite common.

So I was advised lactose free formula is completely pointless. You need hydrolyzed or dairy free formula. Go back to the GP.

Thank you for replying, just trying what I was advised, gonna give it another week and if no improvement then go back…. Both myself and my LG have a dairy sensitivity so I expected him to as well at some point
