Cash register/ till with a DING

[Potatomashed]

Can anyone recommend a toy cash register/ till with a nice ding sound and a button which pops the cash drawer open?

My kids play with a boring wooden one we have all the time and I have vivid memories of a plastic dinging till from my own childhood… and with three kids improving the toys we own rather than adding more stuff seems like a better present option!

Just bumping this one for you, OP. We're going to move it over to parenting where it's a bit busier.

Like the old school fisher price one.

I can see some really old school ones on Vinted with colourful coins- do you mean this one?

Yes, that’s the one. Sorry, I somewhat ridiculously assumed you would know what it was because it was so iconic! It was a thing in the seventies and then fisher price re-released it a few years ago. It’s probably more suited to younger children though. There are three coins. You put a coin in the correct slot, there’s a button for a dale in which case the coin goes to the drawer and one for change I think in which case the coin comes down a chute and a handle to turn to open the drawer. I can’t remember when the bell comes in to play. Possibly all the time!

The old Waitrose one has a dinging cash drawer, beeping barcode scanner and when you swipe the credit card there is a little tune and something pops up.

This is the old one which you can probably find on vinted etc

This seems to be the current version, the box says there are sounds:
