all progestogen only pills can give you irregular bleeding. I had irregular light periods on cerazette for a year, then periods stopped completely after that. So it's probably not worrying that you're having a bit of bleeding on it. If you can sort out another method of contraception, I think it's worth seeing if stopping the cerazette makes any difference to your mood. When I was on another progestogen only pill (Micronor) I got very depressed at times, and as soon as I stopped taking it, things were much better.

Not experienced this myself but look here. Re the bleeding different people have different experiences, from normal monthly periods to no periods at all whilst on the mini-pill.
Hope you can get it sorted and feel better soon

I am on this pill and love it. The difference from when I was on Microgynon is amazing and I have no periods, though irregular bleeding is 'normal' as a side effect.
If you are not happy it is suiting you definitely get it changed.
Good Luck.

I've tried 3 different mini-pills and have given up on all of them! I found if I wasn't bleeding, I was crying, or both!! Great as a contraceptive (Hard to get in the mood when you are wailing and bleeding!) but just didn't agree with me at all. Funnily enough, I think progesterone doesn't bring out the best in me, as I get hugely depressed during pregnancy and feel like a different person once it is over!

I've actually juts been to see about getting a diaphragm while I am still bf- no hormones involved!

I think it's definately worth going to docs about tbh

I was on cerazette after DD2 was born, and had the irregular bleeding thing, sometimes for a month or so, then nothing for three months. I used to have really bad mood swings, to the point I started to think I was going mad. GP said it was due to sleep deprivation (DD2 still doesn't sleep through at 9 months). I know myself tho, and am 100% it was due to cerazette!
