Concerned about cartoon skeleton images on my daughter's phone

I was looking through my daughter's phone, and I found many pictures of a cartoon skeleton with one glowing blue eye and wearing a hoodie. When I asked my daughter why she had such demonic images on her phone, she told me there was nothing wrong with it because it was from a video game. How do I help my daughter not be attracted to such demonic things?

Bit of an overreaction based on what you’ve said. I loved drawing demons and skeletons as a child / young teen. If you’re worried about what she’s accessing online that’s a different issue.

Is it the character Sans from the game Undertale?
If yes the game is recommended for ages 10 and over so while it has horror elements it's not that scary.
If it is Sans he isn't a demon. He is a skeleton with magical monster elements.

Are you religious by any chance? My parents were and wouldn't let me watch Harry Potter because it was demonic and would bring them into the house. It terrified me tbh. What's your issue with the skeleton?

You don’t say how old your daughter is but I’m guessing if she has her own phone she’s at least 11?

Children can be drawn to this type of stuff as they try and make sense of the world. Death is part of life after all. I’m not sure I agree with your assessment of demonic if it’s a cartoon character, but even so, if they are exposed to religion and beliefs, they will be curious about the alternative.

The best thing is to just talk to your daughter. Ask her what the cartoon is about. What it means to her. How she feels about it. Is it just a fun online character or is she curious or have any questions?
