Hi, didn’t know where to stick into the category but without going into absolutely everything. I don’t get money off the child’s dad . He’s abandoned his kid and I suspect he has ASPD he fits 99% . I have a beautiful little girl who’s 2.5 years old and I have a good career with a good job. My parents don’t help me or my family . It’s out the question . I pay for everything myself. I have a lovely well build semi detached 3 bed Counsil house , nice views , nice garden for my two dogs and light and iv worked me butt off to get the kitchen done and decorated and fireplace etc / babies room. Except . My outgoings are threshold to what I pick up. I have to work over 41 hours a week to pick up overtime to pay for things coming up like Xmas birthdays or things my little girl wants to go . I pay for everything. It’s exhausting me working so much and I’m fortunate I get to work from home but that might not be forever. I simply cannot move jobs as this works for me and I’m on great money but I’m running myself into the ground keeping on top of the house the dogs the washing the food the cooking cleaning the organising the full time work and making sure my baby gets a pay full mum in the very little time we get together. My neighbours are not very nice and tbh on the street I moved on there’s some questionable characters. Don’t care about their animals , their kids , they are loud and sometimes horrible . Iv thought long and hard about downsizing in a different area reducing my outgoings hugely and getting two up two down terrace in an area where we can potentially can get an allotment if it comes up to compensate for not having a garden. When I worked out the finances I could remove the debt with the equity I have, have some money left over to do a house up maybe take my little girl on a holiday me and my little family somewhere . I know il be giving up a garden but the thought of working 30 hours a week and having some breathing space for my actual self feels amazing . I would be able to breath again . Iv literally not had a break between full time toddler and work mode and everything else for years . Some times I’m so cranky and exhausted with my toddler because I’m running on fumes trying to keep us afloat . I then feel so guilty and crying that after an exhausting week and then full on weekend swimming beach walks and shopping and prepping her football clubs etc because I try my hardest to be a good mum but I’m crying going back into another ten hour working week on a Sunday. If I didn’t work from home I’d have a nervous break down . If I have to go into the office it stresses me out because I then have to look presentable Remeber one billion things go back and forth to walk the dogs . Basically i just want to be able to fill my cup up again and have some money left over to do things nice with my little girl. Iv been advised if i move I will be going backwards but I have tested every option out . Upping years in two mortgage products, clearing the debt alone would take two years and that’s with 41 hours of work . I pay Nursey fees but then they stop my mortgage rates go up so I will still be in this position. Any mums out there want to advise me what I should do. In my head Iv been like , reduce your load, reduce your hours with a move and have some time with your baby before she starts school. She’s in full time Nursey for me to be like this . I batch cook, keep on top of everything . Take her on all the outings walk my dogs three times a day and make sure everyone’s happy. I prep all my stuff for the week so there isn’t an area I haven’t explored to make my life easier . Financial pressure is the main issue . Would I be going backwards. Any help grateful appreciated.
