Hi need some advice bit long....
So my youngest dad never wanted to know her 8 years later he gets in touch i get the usual im sorry blah blah i will show you you can trust me again.
I did spend months debating letting him back in our lives. Eventually after consitency we become a family again only for 6 months on my birthday he left never returned from work.
2 months later hes engaged to the women i shouldnt have worried about. I still have all hos belongings. He told me he only needed to clear his head.
Im pretty sure her little boy is his even tho he said he didnt have any other kids.
He said he will come see his daughter soon but its been 3 months now nothing. O but one message when they have the house sorted she can stay with him.
My question is would you allow your child to stay with their dad when hes only been in their life 6 months those 6 months was under your supervision and he always drank (my friends thought possibly drugs too). I have no idea where this house is its over an hour away i dont know this women.
I dont want to sound like the bitter ex all the good luck to her i just want my daughter to be safe. I would say he needs to be consistent come see her regulary then eventually his partner can come too so i can get to know her then the talk of staying over can happen. Shes been with me 9 years and known him 6 months. He doesnt even pay for her (thats another battle!)
And if anyone says i should let her know about me i did she blocked me i guess she doesnt care.

No. Tell him to apply to court. I would not be letting him see her unless he can demonstrate he can actually adult, show up, and put her needs first.

No way. He's basically a stranger to your child.

Contact is going to have to be gradual and on your terms.

If he doesn't like the sound of that take you to court and good luck with that.
