How is cross border contact usually arranged for infants and parent?

Advice pls!!

how do courts usually order contact between a parent living in England and infant under 2 living in Scotland? Parent has only ever had supervised contact but seeks overnights in England. He also has a pending DA case against mum.

The court where the child is resident is the court that will deal with the application.
