Anyone had teat collapse issues after switching to Aptamil Pepti 1?

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help. My daughter is 8 weeks old and we were prescribed Aptamil Pepti 1 for CMPA at the doctors on Monday, and she took to it brilliantly and it’s made such a difference, however yesterday afternoon when feeding her she started to suck really hard on the teat and it sounded as if it was collapsing?! I’ve tried so many things to try and help I’ve changed bottles to MAM bottles with Lansinoh teat (were previously using Lansinoh bottles), squeezed the vent in the teat in case it was blocked, made sure I didn’t pour boiling hot water into the bottle, tried taking the teat out her mouth when she does it, and also changed teat to the next size up which was a disaster as she drank the bottle so fast, despite pace feeding and got soooo much wind she was screaming like I’ve never seen her scream before and sick everywhere when it all finally came up. Obviously we’ve not solved the issue, and it’s now happening on every bottle, the last feed I gave her she was doing it and she got enormous gas bubbles in her tummy which when burping brought up an enormous amount of milk. I am aware that this formula because its thinner can make them bring up a lot more but she was getting sooooo distressed and we can’t keep feeding like this. Does anybody have any advice? Or perhaps had this issue before? Please help with feel like I have tried everything to help her feeding and digestive issues, before yesterday afternoon it was all going so well until she started doing this on her teat!

Sorry it’s not a milk I’ve used. You could try the Infant Feeding section or the Allergies Board. Either one of those should get you some more replies Smile
