Take child to primary school open evening?

I'm sure this is a stupid question, hence I don't want to ask friends! We're going to some primary school open evenings next week, they're at 4pm. It's not weird for both me and DH to go, and take DD too, is it? We want to both go as its a big decision and want us to both get a feel for the school etc, but that means taking DD too. There will be other kids right?!

ETA: said DD is the one we are choosing school for. She's only 2.5, but we are expecting twins imminently and decided we should at least look this year when we have 1 not 3 children! And can think about the decision/reconfirm our thinking next autumn when we apply.

Depends, some are for Parents only
Check with school

I’m planning on taking mine. No childcare, for a start!

I took both of mine when we looked round for DD1.

OK seems it won't be odd to take our child, thanks everyone!

Think alot of people are in same boat. Two schools had theirs during the day and one was after school, so the kids came to.

Yes, perfectly normal. I would still have another look again next year or before you apply because unfortunately a lot can change in a year or two.

I don’t think taking your child is an issue but many schools only allow parents whose child is due to start next autumn for space reasons, check that it’s ok to go early
