Advice from other 50/50 parents - I’m broken

My ex got award 50-50. Im broken. I don’t know how im going to carry on. Please tell me I will stop crying.

At those ages they will be fine. You are reacting very strongly - is that because he abused you? It's very hard having to parent with someone like that but he's the only father they have and it can't be avoided.

I can’t speak for the OP but I would probably react as strongly as the OP, even if my ex was the best father in the world, simply because I would hate to not see my children for a week at a time, every other week. I’d miss them.

If they tell you anything worrying advise them to tell their teacher. School will raise safeguarding concerns if necessary.
